Last year, partners Stephen Phillips and Lisa Eoannou transformed the historic Masonic Lodge on Cazenovia Street into a trendy, popular auction house.
Now, they are venturing into the catering business.
The Lodge Auction House recently announced a partnership with Lucarelli's Banquet Center, working with Mike Lucarelli as their exclusive, upscale caterer.
"I feel confident we can bring this service to this area," Mike Lucarelli said. "The concept is we are bringing a higher end hall with elegant dining to South Buffalo."
"I was here (at the Lodge) in the 1990's," Lucarelli added. "This was a very busy place. Every weekend we were doing something. That's why I'm coming back here, because it can come back to life."
Lucarelli brings 25 years experience in the professional catering business.
"We have a choice of three banquet halls," Lisa Eoannou said. "We can accommodate from 35 - 225 guests." There is a hall for smaller events, plus two larger, unique spaces.
"The atmosphere is elegant and fun" she added. "Each room reflects the architecture and character of the building. The decor is antiques."
Just stepping into the building, visitors are surrounded by the warmth of antiques and feel wrapped in history. The Lodge Auction House has bi-weekly auctions, and continues to buy, sell, and consign fine antiques, art, and collectibles. They are currently booking all events, and still have space available for 2005. The Lodge is located at 212 Cazenovia Street, near the intersection of Seneca.
"It's a good business venture for all of us," Lucarelli added.
