Pottery by Regina Rexford
	I am a relatively new potter, introduced five years ago to this wonderful medium while pursuing my art degree at Daemen College. Guided by an expert potter, Clare Podemski, one required class led to a second ceramics class, followed by more advanced independent study including a few raku firings. I received my BS in Art in 2005, but continue to haunt the studio where I have spent so many pleasurable hours at the wheel. The Arts & Crafts Movements, both English and American, influence my creations. I "draw" on some of my pots to add a handmade quality to each piece. The leather hard clay is the canvas, first touched by a pencil, finished with a small carving tool to create my "one of a kind" pottery. ~Regina Rexford
